The art work on this page was created by Greg Purdon. The image above is a digital photocollage birthday greeting Greg designed for his good friend, Rick Vito. As you can tell by careful study of the image, many of the people in the picture are one and the same person - Rick Vito - taken at different ages. That's Rick with his wife, Amy, wearing the red scarf, seated on the yellow scooter. Greg, in the red sweater, is playing the harmonica. Web masters NB and Omar are here also, along with other good friends, past and present.

All of the pictures on this page were painted during 1994 and 1995 and represent the
last paintings Greg did -- the first watercolors he had done in years, the first time in
years he was painting for himself after doing commercial illustration for 25+ years. He
was thrilled with the new style and had planned on having prints made. Four were part of
what he called his "Chairs Series", including "Small Window" which I
had printed as my Christmas card. Only two of the six, "Small Window" and
"Little House", were signed, his indication that they were finished. The others
he said, "still need work". Laurie Costs for individual prints are still being estimated and will be posted here on this
site within the next month or so. Prices will cover the cost to print plus a portion will
be donated to create a new Sarcoid Research Fund at the University of Pennsylvania under
the direction of Dr. Milt Rossman. All images on this Web Site are protected by U.S. Copyright Laws |
